Hey Matt! When you’re in the Twin Cities I’ve got a great charity for you. An Outreach Program (run through the Northeast Family YMCA and yours truly) needs a bus to go on a fieldtrip. The program participants are children and families from low-income housing in the area. We have a trip donated, but alas we have no money for transportation. We’d love to give these kids a fun Christmas Break. (:

  16. Matt

Aubrey. Believe me, the honor was entirely mine!. You have a beautiful voice, a great repetoire, and an unparalleled dedication to music. I can still hardly believe that you are half my age! It somehow doesn’t seem fair. Anyway, I promise to contact when I get back (or near) to Creston. Keep learning those Dixie Chicks songs, so you can teach me more next time!

  17. Aubrey Pendegraft

    Matt,
It was an honor to play with you at A&G in October. It was great getting my musical side kicked off with a great performance. Stay in touch and hook me up with some tips once in a while. Hope to hear from you soon!

  18. Momma

I smile every time I learn of a new path that your life is taking you. You are indeed doing your part in healing the world! Go forth my son and spread your message through music! Mom

Matt – Great site. Been meaning to check it out for quite some time, but am about as timely about exploring the Internet as I am about returning emails. Everythings a go for the 9th at the Boathouse. We’ll even do some PR for ya. Great idea with this site, man. Wish more people had your generous nature and charitable heart! Take care.

  25. Jilly

Oh dear Matt… Every day since Jilly got her groove back, I think of you. I am inspired by your goodness, and appreciative of your friendship. When the great James Taylor said Shed a Little light oh Lord…. He was asking for you!

    Keep Shedding that light!

  26. Bryan

Man, that picture of Bob is way cool. Makes you want to ask him what he’s thinking even though you know the answer would be, “Professional wrestling isn’t what it used to be. Why do they hit each other with chairs?” I love that guy.

  27. Bryan

Pretty cool site, Matt. I tried to post last night, but I don’t think it worked…so if I’m repeating, please forgive. That picture of Bob is really cool.(#811) Makes you want to ask him what he’s thinking about even though you already know the answer would be, “Professional wrestling just isn’t what it used to be. Why do they hit each other with chairs?” I love that guy.

  28. Matt

Gracias Bryan. You know, if there’s one person that I aspire to be like, it’s Bob Norman. I know of no other man that can laugh at even the dullest of situations. His tombstone should read, “He lived a lot, laughed a lot, and played some golf.” Thanks again for the comments. Let’s play some Neil Young the next time I’m in Newton.

  29. sarah n

hey matt, you funky thing. nice to see you the other day. don’t forget to send a demo for the cafe. it was great to play music with you. next time we’ll play tiddly-winks. keep using your powers for good. this is a friend’s email, by the way.

  30. luke ritter

    Hey Matt,
A friend of mine told me that you would be in Creston on the 14th and I plan on coming to see your show. I am aspiring to be a folk-singer, I write all my songs and I play the guitar. My boss, Mary Craig gave me this web address and told me I should E-mail you to possibly gets some pointers on getting into this bussiness. Well, it would be great if you could. Keep on doing what you do!

  31. luke ritter

    Hey Matt,
I heard you wrote me back about getting some pointers on getting into the music business. I don’t think the e-mail got through though, that or my mom accidentally deleted it, anyway, if you could possibly send it again, I would really appreciate it. Sorry for the inconvenience.

  32. Jonas Borg

Matt, I think I am in love with you! Merry easter!!

  33. bman

Where the pics from those Egyptians?

  34. nicole

just read your bio…very cultured! gotta say, I’m a little jealous of all the travel exposure. can’t wait to hear you play at the Foundry!!!!

  35. matt

hello bman. unfortunately, my camera battery ran out in cairo. and with the charger accidentally left in london, i was out of juice for photos. i did get a few though, and they are located at the bottom of most of the photo pages on the site. just scroll down and click away…

  36. Aubrey

just think…naked audience, naked audience, naked audience. Can’t we think of another idea, wait…instead of being all naked, lets have them with just underwear. At least they are a little covered.

  37. nicole

Hey, music man! You should play at the foundry this weekend for Benson days… Can’t wait to have you play some more Jack Johnson for me…hope your practicing!
    Keep on creating beautiful music.

Hey Matt—Just got back to Des Moines from your venue at Creston. I was one of the girls who sang with you the last part of your show. Us girls really had a great time!!
